About Tina
What ignited in me while lying in savasana in a calming, blue yoga studio at 9 years old with my mother grew into a deep, long-lasting relationship with yoga. Growing up in Chicago, the After School Matters program I participated in for a year and a half in high school gave me a foundational introduction to anatomy, sequencing, and teaching yoga classes. This Yoga Teacher in Training apprenticeship also sparked and profoundly impacted my journaling/musing routines as we were prompted each day and had space to share in non-judgmental community. I'm continually learning as a yoga practioner while offering the wisdom I've received from incredible, knowledgable teachers over the past decade.
In March 2026, I was impacted by an auto-accident. With a stage 2, or Schatzker Type II, tibial plateau fracture, I was unable to put weight on my left foot for 3 months. Through breathwork, meditation, and other yogic practices, I have been healing and gaining mobility, peace, and strength. After two surgeries and being in the recovery process, I am honored to continue teaching now from this place of experience.
